The Witch

A long, long time ago, there was a girl; a dark and beautiful girl. So mysterious, magical.. and alone...and alone.

Under the eyes of the trees and the ferns the seasons did turn, the seasons did turn… In time she would have a child of her own, but right now, she was happy being alone.

Many years have gone by... She has a child ...A dark and beautiful child. So mysterious, magical; no longer alone...no longer alone.

Through winter and summer, sun and rain they danced and laughed, they ran and played until the day the storm clouds came. She did what she could to keep him safe.

She put the boy inside a box where he could not be hurt by anything. She went outside to face the dangers of the world instead of him.

Under the eyes of the trees and the ferns the seasons did turn...the seasons did turn. She walked right into the hunter’s trap… She’ll never get back. She never came back.

Three Wishes

This much I can do: I will give you these two: A daughter, strong and brave, in time she’ll come to you…

That’s just one wish; she said we had three. What should we wish for? Can we agree?

To keep your child safe from harm I will give you a charm. In this box, you must hide pain and sorrow from outside.

That’s just two wishes; you said we had three. What should we wish for? Can we agree?

You have three wishes, true. You must use them wisely, too. There are rules you must obey. Or else you have to pay…

As a witch must not forget, one wish won’t be granted yet. Don’t wish for something you will regret. Be careful what you wish for…

It’s our last wish, too hard to decide. Once we say it, can’t change our minds. We want our child to be loved by all. By every being big and small.

Be careful what you wish for...

A Child

All these years we’ve hoped and wished. Night after night we’ve dreamed. We wanted to receive the gift of a child whose eyes do gleam…

A child who is never mad running barefoot through the field. And if she never feels sad the pain in our hearts will be healed.

Many long years we’ve tried and tried. And tried and tried again. Winter’s come and gone my friend. But the loneliness resides

A child who giggles at everything and sits in the grass feeling free. She dances through puddles in spring and skips down the lane joyfully. A child whose eyes do gleam.

The Box

This box, it holds a charm, holds a charm to protect her from many dangers: evil and sadness.

To hide all the darkness and fear, darkness and fear that is looming. Before they find her - can’t let them hurt her.

Beautiful her life will be, climbing high atop the trees. Happiness everywhere. Flowers woven in her hair.

All you need to do, need to do to protect her: place dangers in this box. They will be safe here.

She will be safe here…

The Bird

In the forest, wild and calm, all the birds sing their song. Your song is the most beautiful of all.

Your voice echoes through the trees. Quietly it calls to me. Lift your voice, let it rise. Study the world with beautiful eyes. Your song is the most beautiful of all.

Soaring high, flying free up above the heavy leaves. In the meadow glistening dew. Can you hear it calling you? Your song is the most beautiful of all.

In the warmth of the shining sun, you greet the day as it’s begun. The sun rises gold and bright. Let your soul reflect its light. Your song is the most beautiful of all.

Crying

You don’t know the way I feel. Like never-ending rain. You don’t know the pain inside. Bound in heavy chains. Don’t know your way in this darkness. Like drowning underwater. Bubbles floating to the surface, but you stay on the bottom

You don’t know the thunder crashing deep inside my heart. You don’t know the way my voice breaks,

tearing me apart.

Maybe light can change my life but I’m afraid I’m growing numb. Some can make it really bright but what if my sun never comes?

Balance

It’s about balance, like an even scale. You’re half a person if you never fail.

If you don’t know darkness, you can’t see the light. If you don’t know sadness, how can you feel joy?If you don’t know anger, you can’t fall in love. If you’re never frightened, how can you feel calm?

You need compassion to be loved by all. It’s no disaster if you happen to fall.

If you don’t know darkness, you can’t see the light. If you don’t know sadness, how can you feel joy?If you don’t know anger, you can’t fall in love. If you’re never frightened, how can you feel calm?
